We discovered that East Lombok is the tobacco center for Sampoerna. They even have a kretek-cigarette factory over here. The farmers in the region all have contracts directly to Sampoerna, with quality checks and all. Here, the freshly picket tobacco leaves are dried in what most looks like a tobacco sauna. It's hot (40°C +) and very humid inside.
