July 2008 - The broken rock formation is something like a mini ecosystem on which trees grow, small animals live and where water is seeping from the top down towards the sea. This clean but mineral rich water seeps onto the beach and disappears directly between the white sand. The quiet to deserted white beaches in the southeastern corner of Yogyakarta province, in central Java, are a perfect place to enjoy tranquility. From Yogyakarta it is not more than a day trip, while the town of Pacitan is nearby as well.
