19 May 2007 - On the beach of Parangtritis, the province of Yogyakarta, Central Java, the first rows of warung (food stalls) and other shelters built from bamboo and straw are washed away. After first being hit by an earthquake one year ago and then a tsunami, this is the third event in one year time nature claims back her beach. Owners search for plastic and bamboo poles that can be re-used again.
