About this picture
25 December 2006 - Each person or company has it's own area of sand they are allowed to mine. How they agree to this is a matter of who arrives here first. In this way, the small lots in this area are spread among the workers here. To 'guard' them a simple piece of wood or bamboo is used to mark them. Even some tools or sandals are a clear indication that this lot is already in use.
