25 December 2006Towards the direction of the volcano, on the place where workers works hard to mine sand and stones from Kali Bebeng river near the village of Kepuharjo in the district Cangkringan, you can see where these deposits came from not too long ago. De always active Gunung Merapi volcano earlier this year pushed large volumes of zand and debris down it's slopes, which makes is more easy to mine it now.
