25 December 2006A gathered crowd of workers works hard to mine sand and stones from Kali Bebeng river near the village of Kepuharjo in the district Cangkringan. Dozens of trucks per day are filled here nowadays. This happens in between the heavy monsoon rains because when the rain approaches, the riverbed has to be empty. A new flood is then due any minute.
