27 May 2006 - People flocked to the northern outskirts of Yogyakarta and towns on the slopes of Gunung Merapi after a powerfull earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit central Java just before dawn this morning. According to scientists, this earthquake could trigger an eruption.
