Situbondo is a town located at the distance of thirty-five kilometers northeast of Bondowoso Regency. The harbor of Panarukan is found here. Situbondo is a producer of cane sugar.
From Situbondo, one can visit Pasir Putih Beach, a well-known seaside resort forty-three kilometers from Situbondo. About fifty-nine kilometers away from the town the village of Wonorejo, near the Baluran Nature Reserve. Wild buffaloes graze on extensive grasslands. It is Better to come in the afternoon or in the early morning, after the dry season.
