Geographically, the regency of Lebak is situated between 106° and 25° eastern longitude and 5° - 10° southern latitude. The capital city of this Regency is Rengkasbitung and the distance from Jakarta is 135 kilometers. The distance can be specified as follows, the distance from Jakarta to Tangerang is twenty-six kilometers, Tangerang to Serang is sixty-five kilometers, Serang to Pandeglang is twenty-four kilometers, and Pandeglang to Rengkasbitung is twenty kilometers.
The distances between the cities can be covered by both public and private transport. As its name suggests it the Regency of Lebak (Lebak in Sundanese means lowland) mostly consists of lowlands with an elevation of all cools, it ranges from 30° to 33° Celsius.
In this Regency there are also many beautiful beaches, with breathtaking scenery, for example, the beaches in the sub-districts of Malingping, Panggarangan, and Bayah, such as Binuangeun, Bagedur-Tanjung Panto, Sukahujan, Cihara, Madur and Cimadur. The journey along the beach from Malingping to Bayah is beautiful beyond comparison. The magnificent scenery is a combination of white sand, rocks, hills, estuaries and coconut-trees. And if the journey is continued to Binuangeun the beauty is further enhance by oil-palm plantations, which is like a spread of green velvet.
Cikotok, a gold-mining are of about 8,121 hectares is situated here. Its distance from Bayah is about 15 kilometers. Other tourist facilities such as accommodation, restaurants, health centers and tourist information offices are only available in the capital city of the Regency.
