Baturaden park Waterfalls and hot water sources in the forest

Lokawisata Baturraden is located in the southern foothills of the Mount Slamet volcano at an altitude of approximately 640 meters above sea level. Baturraden located only 14 kilometers from the city of Banyumas in the Purwokerto regency in Central Java province. In the area you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the fresh mountain air with temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Mount Slamet with an altitude of 3,428 meters, is the largest volcano and the second highest mountain on the island of Java. When the wearther is good enough, you can see the city of Purwokerto from Baturraden, as well as the city of Cilacap and the prison island of Nusa Kambangan. The slopes of the Mount Slamet volcano are covered in mixed forests in different grades of green.
The Baturraden park itself has a waterfall and hot springs with sulfurous water. Children can spend their time on the view tower, a botanical garden, the swimming pool, hit water bathing place, water bicycles and a small zoo.
The park can easily be reached by road. To reach the location, visitors can use a private vehicle or public transport. The trip to Baturraden from the city of Purwokerto is less than half an hour. Public transport from Purwokerto leaves at the Kebondalem terminal in the city.
