Streetworks: inside outside Yokohama explores urban grunge culture of skateboarding and break dancing to render barren pockets of urban landscapes into dramatic filmic sequences and video.

Internationally acclaimed Australian artists Shaun Gladwell and Craig Walsh use new media in this exhibition that moves laterally around concepts of performance and documentation, high art and low art, sub culture and pop culture, the staged and the real.

Recently selected to represent Australia at the 2009 Venice Biennale, Shaun Gladwell is one of Australia’s most exciting media artists and has been gathering accolades for his cutting edge work.
